1985-86

1985 saw Alfa Romeo's interest in Formula 1 fade. Riccardo Patrese and Eddy Cheever were the Alfa drivers for the private Euroracing team, sponsored by Benetton, which the company also supported in 1986. In other categories during these years, Alfa engines dominated the Italian, French and European Formula 3 championships, the 75 continued taking part in Touring races and the training category Formula Alfa Boxer uncovered promising youngsters.
